The average trailer is constructed with a tube or I-beam main frame, z-channel or c-channel cross members, hat post or z-channel or tube wall studs and hat post or tube ceiling joists. Colony Cargo does not use the compromise frame that is the Industry standard. The Industry standard frame will not stand up under constant use. Colony Cargo trailers are framed with a tube main frame, cross members, wall studs, ceiling joists and flat steel backer plates around the entire trailer. We build a perimeter frame and do not put our walls on out riggers. This eliminates the twisting and vibration found in the typical trailer and gives you a smoother pulling trailer. We wrap our roof over the edge, so we do not have screws in the top of the roof. We fully line our ceiling with a thermacool liner and our 3/4 plywood floors are water treated. Our frame is so strong that we can floor it, skin the exterior, and ship it without needing plywood on the inside walls to hold it together. Our jig-built all tube frame is the premier frame in the trailer industry and raises the bar on quality! Pound for pound tube is 3 times stronger.
